The widespread rainfall in different parts of the district has badly hit the brick kilns to a big extent. There are about 700 major and small brick kilns situated in Thammampatti, Gangavalli, Vazhappadi, Pethanayakkanpalayam, Attur, Thalaivasal, and Veergagnaur. Hundreds of workers are employed in these brick kilns.
