At a time when the small tea growers in the State are facing problems due to decrease in prices of green tea leaves, the district administration of Jorhat, by an order issued on Thursday, fixed minimum prices of per kg green tea leaves at Rs.17.46. This order has come a week after the small tea growers of Assam staged protest in Jorhat demanding undisrupted LPG supply to the tea factories to prevent their losses.
