In the context of Lok Sabha Election, 2009, SSN urges political parties to take up social security for unorganised workers as an election agenda. While the Unorganised Workers Social Security Act, 2008 was passed; it remains inadequate in addressing the issues of unorganised workers. As a part of this Campaign, a memorandum was submitted to leaders of various political parties.
