Workers in Bamboo Based Traditional Industry

This working paper provides the socio-economic profile of reed workers and assesses the impact of reed-based activity on the economic status of the reed households. It also examines the sources of reed and the nature of reed work. Thus, the study reviews the intensity of the reed workers’ problems. At the end it suggests certain recommendations that can improve the position of reed-activity and the reed workers.
