This report discusses the nature of the fish processing industry in India at a gereral level and focuses on issues concerning the migrant workforce specifically. In India, it is estimated that fish processing industry have more than one lakh workforce. And the main processing activity is almost entirely handled by migrant women workers. this study mainly concerned about these migrant women workers and their working conditions. This report is based on an in-depth survey of 60 workers from kerala and a broader sample of 250 workers from different centres of production.
