Five sanitation workers killed while cleaning sewer in Ghaziabad, UP CM announces financial assistance

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday announced financial assistance for the families of the sanitation workers who had died in Ghaziabad earlier in the day. Five men were suffocated to death while working in a drainage project in Nandgram area of Ghaziabad as they allegedly did not have safety kits, officials said. The UP CM has announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs.10 lakhs each to the families of the deceased.
