This book on Labour, Environment and Globalisation, is a southern intervention in the ongoing debate on social clause in World Trade Organisation (WTO). It attempts to bring together wide ranging views on the issue of the social clause in the WTO and its impact on labour and environment. It includes the views of trade union representatives, activists, academics, environmentalists and human rights activists.rn rnThe book does not establish a position, in favour of or against the social clause; but allows the free expression of divergent perspectives. It also provides some alternative proposals.
