Comprehensive Intervention in Occupational Health and Safety in Leather Industry

This study on the leather tanning workers was conducted in Kanpur, Uttarpradesh to collect the comprehensive data on the occupational health effects on tannery workers due to the exposure to number of hazardous chemical used in the process of tanning. It also tries to work out the feasibility of (a) interventional studies to ascertain cause-and-effect relationship of potent health hazard exposures, (b) training workshop/programmes, (c) health and safety measures based on the accumulated data.
