This document comprises a brief report on the proceedings of the three-day social audit programme on child labour, held at the India Habitat Centre, Lodi Road, New Delhi, on November 27-29, 2002. The programme was organized jointly by the Campaign Against Child Labour (CACL) and national trade unions – AITUC, CITU, HMS and UTUC. It was for the first time such an assessment of the approaches, objectives, effectiveness and shortcomings of governmental and non-governmental agencies interventions on child labour eradication was attempted. The document also contains the list of the participants of the programme.
