A two-day National Working Committee meeting of Indian National Plantation Workers Federation (INPWF) affiliated to INTUC is being held in Tinsukia on Thursday and Friday. Addressing media persons on Thursday, the national president PA Joseph said amendments to the Plantation Labour Act 1951 was the need of the hour and some proposals would be discussed in order to bring uniform living wages for all plantation workers across the country.
