The Apex Court issued directions to the DM, ADM and concerned SDO to explore and work out within a period of 2 months the formation of a reasonable number of Cooperatives in respect of 4000 bonded labourers, now freed, as a step in the direction of rehabilitation.The DM and ADM to take immediate steps to form the cooperative societies, allocate land, locate homestead for raising new residential accomodation near about the land to be allotted so that the rehabilitated persons would derive a sense of satisfaction of being properly rehabilitated.
