Strike at Tata Motors Sanand plant: Ahmedabad Collector invites company officials, workers & labour dept for talk

In a bid to end the ongoing strike at the Sanand plant of Tata Motors, Ahmedabad collector Rajkumar Beniwal would soon hold a tripartite talk between the company officials, the Labour Department and the representatives of workers. Harpalsinh Jhala, one of the representatives of striking workers, told The Indian Express. “We welcome the move and hope that an amicable settlement can be reached by these talks. We appreciate the initiative taken by the Ahmedabad collector… We also want the Labour Department to expedite the application for the worker’s union moved December last year,” said Asim Roy, advisor to the workers and senior trade unionist.
