Horizon With Labour
With their repeated pleas seeking details of Provident Fund (PF) and Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) scheme going unheard, a section of contract sanitary workers of Vellore Corporation approached the Labour Department on Monday. The workers submitted a petition to the Deputy Commissioner of Labour seeking help to get details of their PF account and ESIC scheme status. There are close to 600 sanitary workers engaged in the contract basis in the four zones of the Corporation.
