Municipal workers from across the State took out a rally here on Wednesday opposing GO 279 issued on December 31, 2015, which they said was aimed at terminating the services of DWCRA groups in local bodies and handover sanitation contracts to TDP leaders. Workers affiliated to trade unions such as CITU, AITUC, and INTUC descended on the city to register their protest. They took out a rally from Tummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakhsetram to Alanakar Centre.
